Dr.Tim Hendrickson
LTCS Music Director
Dr. Tim Hendrickson is currently the Director of Choral Activities at Delta
College, University Center, Michigan. His Delta College choral ensembles
include the Delta College Chamber Choir, Delta College Jazz Singers and the
Delta College Chorale.
He is past conductor of the chamber ensemble Canzona
di Musica. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he earned
a Bachelor of Music in vocal and keyboard education, and a Master of Music
in choral conducting while studying with Dr. David Stutzenberger, Angela
Batey and Peter Van Eenam. Dr. Hendrickson received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in choral
conducting from the University of Kentucky, in Lexington.
In addition to choral conducting, Dr. Hendrickson
has also studied voice with Kaaren Erickson, Kathleen Spillane, and Donald
Henrickson. His keyboard work includes piano study with Dr. Rebecca
Shockley, Dr. Linda Stutzenberger, Dr. David Brunnel and organ study with
John Brock.
Dr. Hendrickson has been actively involved in
various music programs for over twenty years. He is the Conductor of the
Little Traverse Choral Society in Petoskey, Michigan. Currently, he serves
as the music director for Saint James Catholic Church in Bay City,
Michigan. Prior to coming to Michigan, Dr. Hendrickson served for ten years
as organist and choir master for Holy Ghost Catholic Church, in Knoxville,
Tennessee.
Apart from serving in the music ministry of various
churches, Dr. Hendrickson has also been a featured vocalist for several
choral organizations. Some of the performances to his credit include the
baritone solo in R. V. Williams’ Dona nobis pacem for the Saginaw
Choral Society and, most recently as bass soloist for W. A. Mozart’s
Requiem for the Lexington Singers Choral Society.
Dr. Hendrickson is an active member in several
professional musical associations including the American Choral Directors
Association, the American Guild of Organists and the American Guild of
English Handbell Ringers. He is also an active choral adjudicator and
clinician in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
Dr. Hendrickson resides in Midland, Michigan with his wife Barbara and three
children: Vanessa, Jacqueline and Benjamin.
